The Greater Kansas City Arabian Horse Association was chartered in 1964 as the original Arabian Horse Association (AHA) affiliate for the Kansas City area. Each year the club co-sponsors the Mo-Kan Border Bonanza, a major Region 8 & 11 dual-judged Class A Arabian horse show. GKCAHA also sponsors an Arabian Value Show at historic Longview Horse Park in Kansas City, Missouri, and helps coordinate the American Royal horse show, a Kansas City tradition steeped in history. Among the social events the club hosts, our Midwinter Celebration is an annual tradition for all members, honoring the High Point winners of the show season at a dinner and presentation of awards.
The Greater Kansas City Arabian Horse Association (GKCAHA) has an active membership of Arabian Horse enthusiasts from Kansas, Missouri, and surrounding states. Many of our members serve on Regional and National AHA Committees and are active as workers and exhibitors at the various National Championships. The GKCAHA Youth Group has nurtured many current adult members of the organization and has activities planned throughout the year. GKCAHA offers several types of memberships to allow participation from every type of Arabian enthusiast.
